Subject 'Child', age: 3 years

General charts

Dynamics of changes of the motivational aims tension levels during the modeling. This chart demonstrates the correlation of the main vitally important needs in the view of their tension made by stimulation of Ego-conception group. These dominants are change during the maturity, that reflects, on the one hand, the natural process of priority changes, and on the other hand — the influence of environmental conditions on the satisfaction of needs.

In this example the main child's habitat (so called 'context') "Home" at the second year was added with the new "Kindergarten" environment where infant starts to spend his significant part of time (new social contacts with coevals were emerged, new opportunities for getting new impressions and so on). It's implied in the model's conditions that our infant had limited social contacts up to this moment.

Dominant needs at the end of modeling, according to the rank of their average statistical tension got by the person at corresponding motivational aims. This chart reflects the most important needs that are understood as a "shortage of desired" in the category of negative feelings.

Dynamics of the satisfaction of motivational aims level changes during the modeling. This chart demonstrates the correlation of main vitally important needs in the view of their satisfaction given by the realization of corresponding goals within Ego-conception group. These dominants change during the maturity, that reflects, on the one hand, the natural adaptive process, and on the other hand — the influence of environmental conditions on satisfaction of the needs.

This chart is similar to the previous one in the tension dynamics. It distinctly shows the changes of satisfaction at the two motivational aims (needs): "Social Esteem" and "Impression", what are the result of bringing a new context into the infant's effective environment. At that, it's evident that the adaptation is non-uniform due to the try-and-mistake method, which is a common strategy for each subject.

Dominant aims at the end of modeling according to the rank of their average statistical satisfaction got by the person at corresponding motivational aims. This chart reflects the most important needs that are understood as "successful goals achievement" in the category of positive feelings.

Motive channeling tree (behavior pattern)

All behavior patterns are presented as a tree-like structure of energy distribution (from stimulus to reaction). To read and operate with this structure one needs to understand the main principle of motive canalization. During the realization of every goal (satisfaction of needs) the subject performs decomposition of the tasks of object achievement — goes down to the elementary levels of actions that are dependant on his own facilities only. (see below)

Each node consists of three elements that are combined into the term "goal, object and action". The goal is marked with blue color (motivational aim). The need that is pink at this aim makes some tension and demands to find an optimal solution for satisfaction. The black color is used for the motivator (object of solution). This object is presented in context and can be gained with performing certain action (marked with red). The imagination as a function of psychological defense can also be used as that action.

For example let's make out one branch of the motivational tree: Self-Affirmation —> Ego-conception —> Nutrition —> ... One can see from the tree organization that the need with the nutrition was realized directly as well as indirectly (and was also performed by imagination). In the case if the infant had not enough food on the immediate access he appealed to his parents, and after that they brought some food for him. Notice that the hierarchy reflects the parental demands for obedience according to the family culture, as the stipulation of the need satisfaction (operant stimulus). If you click the right mouse button on the node a small information window with the list of realized (discovered) resources will be opened. You can also you see the usage of this node within the common behavior of the subject.

This hierarchy gives you a well-structured picture of the needs genesis and satisfaction routines. It covers all of the subject's behavior patterns during modeling period.
A model built with the Melos-technology has much more analytical information than the example demonstrated above. A full report can be extended with additional sections that reveal various aspects of the subject's behavior and its underlying reasons — at present time and later on as well.
